Loch Ard, Aberfoyle.

Loch Ard, Aberfoyle, Scotland.

This small loch is the centre of an area of outstanding natural beauty and wisely has been included within the bounds of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, which also includes neighbouring Loch Lomond.This particular morning was overcast & raining endlessly throughout the morning.As i sat in the car patiently waiting for a break in the weather, to the right of the picture, Ben Lomond was covered in mist, only it's peak visible as the sun broke the clouds behind me. A mirror image reflecting at the side of the jetty. It would have been a powerful shot only for the element's obstructing me.

I was up early this particular morning and could see the sun rising from my bedroom window.A nice colour was developing, so i nabbed the camera and drove up to the next village.This pond, like many in Ayrshire, is very popular with the fishermen.I was fortunate to stumble upon this rowing boat, which created a strong foreground interest.The only distraction was the blue bucket. A little to dangerous for me to remove it for fear of falling into the pond.
