Usan beach, Montrose, Scotland.Traveled up the norht east coast of Scotland hoping to catch the sunrise coming over the horizon.Whilst all weather reports indicated partial clouds, today was overcast. It did however, lend itself to the overall exposure of the picture.I set the camera up for a 2.5 sec exposure at f16 to capture the movement of the water flowing over the rocks. Beadnell Bay, Northumberland, England.Set off at 2am in the morning to drive to the south east coast of England, the intention was to photograph Dunstanburgh Castle. The odd road delay ment we were going to miss the opportunity of sunrise. Fortunately, we were on the coast road as the sun burst through the cloud at Beadnell. Just as well we stopped, as the sun disappeared within a few minuates of this picture.I just loved the way the reflected tones of the sun line the rocks. Buachaille, Glencoe, Scotland.Known locally as the Buckle and one of Scotlands finest Munro's, peaks at 3350ft, and is the gateway into Etive Mor Forrest. Herds of Deer will happily walk within feet of you as you walk the Glen.I took a very low point of view for this picture using the stones as foreground interest and to pull your eyes through the scene.I'm about roughly a mile away from the mountain on the river bank.It wasn't a particularly bright day but i loved the quality of reflection on the river. River Orchy, Glencoe, Scotland. On the road home from Bauchaille, we took a detour at Bridge of Orchy travelling up towards Loch Awe. It's a forrest road with the river flowing the full lenght. We were about 5 miles into the journey when my eye caught this scene.Promptly pulled the car in and climbed down the embankment to take position. I wanted to create a bit of drama in this scene capturing the foaming water as it flows past the foreground rock.I used a grad filter to slow the exposure to 1.3 seconds.I had hoped to explore more possabilities, but we have a curse in Scotland, Midgies!!!.I was been eaten alive by the little buggers however, i managed the shot. lightbox1 lightbox1 lightbox1 lightbox1This website was created using MAGIX Website Maker You will need the current version of Adobe Flash Player to view it.
